We’re thrilled to see ivf blogger Nikki Manashe the fiancée of Alex Reid, recently sharing happy family photos on instagram of their family of five. It follows the birth of their twin boys. after an eight-year IVF battle and traumatic pregnancy
IVF warrior Nikki, gave birth to their non-identical sons via caesarean section in June. Prior to the twins, the couple experienced six miscarriages and welcomed their first child, Anastasia, in 2021.
Recently on her instagram account she described the joy of finally having her family:
“It took 8 years of trying, emergency surgery which resulted in losing one fallopian tube or risk of a rupture. Several miscarriages, losing Anastasia’s twin, too many needles and injections, several IVF cycles but in under 24 months I grew three tiny humans and finally my dream of having my very own family came true”.
Nikki described the sacrifices she made to get it to happen
“I had to give up acting, walked away from a brilliant opportunity of going back to one of the best drama schools on a scholarship”.
” I completely and utterly don’t recognise my own reflection in my underwear anymore, but I get to wake up every morning with these beautiful babies”.
In an exclusive interview with the MailOnline she added, “I am complete now. I have my family and I never need to revisit that dark place again.”
The couple had been told by doctors that their boys had just a 1% chance of survival when Nikki’s waters broke unexpectedly at 18 weeks into the pregnancy.
At 36 weeks, she underwent a C-section due to a drop in water levels in Phoenix’s amniotic sac. Nikki admitted to being terrified of the operation but felt an immense relief when her boys were safely delivered. She shared, “I thought if I die here and have brought them into this world, I’ve done my job… I’m so proud of myself. It is such a relief for me.”

“It’s a beautiful day when you have so much to be thankful for” Alex wrote on his instagram account. ” A day we thought would never be. A 1 percent survival chance and yet my boys are getting stronger and stronger day by day.”
The couple chose meaningful names for their sons: Phoenix Bobby represents strength, resilience, and determination, while Hunter George is named after Nikki’s grandfather and great uncle.
